RECHERCHE

Mes travaux de recherche s’inscrivent dans une thématique générale consacrée à la compréhension de la structure et de l’évolution des marges continentales. Je m’intéresse notamment aux rôles de la tectonique, du climat et des fluides dans l’évolution des environnements de marge et des répartitions sédimentaires depuis la pente jusqu’aux bassins profonds. Dans ce cadre, les recherches que j’ai menées ces dernières années peuvent être regroupées en 4 thématiques principales :

  • Géologie, structure et évolution des marges transformantes (Guyane-Surinam, plateau de Demerara)
  • Formation et évolution des plateaux marginaux transformants (TMPs)
  • Ascensions de fluides en domaine de marge continentale. Contrôle structural et relation avec les instabilités gravitaires. Eventail profond du Nil, marge Guyanaise, marge Néo-Zélandaise, bassin du Bas Congo, Mer Noire.
  • Processus sédimentaires en domaine profond (processus turbiditiques, contouritiques et instabilités gravitaires). Eventail profond du Nil, Makran et marge Guyanaise. Ces dernières années j'ai en particulier creusé la question du développement des Contourites et glissements en relation avec les circulations des masses d'eau océaniques.
  • Tectonique salifère, crise de salinité Messinienne et modélisation analogique (Méditerranée orientale: Marge Egyptienne, Ride de Florence, Fosses Hélléniques).
